Originally a duet for violin and piano, this piece was arranged for string orchestra by the composer in 2024. A mini-sonic adventure designed to be accessible for student ensembles, this three-minute work for strings is designed to invoke the sounds of a vast, rolling ocean on the break of a new day as the sky turns to black, and a sea storm thrashes the listener. In the end, the storm does indeed pass, revealing a tormented scene.
